1. General
This policy describes what data the QRcode Global website (qrcode.global) collects and how we use it. The site operates under the brand QRcode Global. The site owner and personal-data controller is sole proprietor Stepanchuk Oleksandr Mykhailovych (tax ID / РНОКПП 3514002131; registered on 2 September 2026; Unified State Register record No. 2011600000000111271). We aim to collect the minimum data necessary to run the service.
2. What data we collect
- QR codes you generate — we store the destination, creation and expiry dates, scan count and last-scanned date so you can use analytics, statistics, control and editing. Without an account a dynamic QR code lasts 20 days; moving it into an account free of charge adds another 20 days to the time left.
- Scan geography — for the owner’s dashboard map we store approximate region data for scans (country/city). Connection metadata may be used temporarily for abuse protection and is not stored attached to a specific QR code.
- Account (optional) — email, name (if provided), a password hash (we never store the password itself), or an ID from Google/Microsoft if you sign in that way.
- Terms consent — when you tick “I agree” after sign-in, we store that direct agreement: date and time, edition identifier (current — 2026-09-20 / 20 September 2026), IP address, interface language, and browser user-agent. Registration and sign-in do not by themselves create this agreement. Without direct agreement the dashboard and payment are unavailable.
- Payment — processed by payment service providers (including Monobank and/or bank acquiring). We never see or store your card details — only the payment status and amount.
- Cookies — a technical session cookie for account login (only if you register/log in). Language preference is stored in the browser’s localStorage. Google Analytics counts visits (IP is anonymized; advertising cookies stay off).
3. How we use data
Data is used solely to provide the service: redirecting dynamic QR codes, showing scan statistics, running accounts, and processing payments. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
4. Data retention
QR codes and related data are deleted automatically and permanently when the free term ends: 20 days without an account; after a free move into the dashboard — remaining time plus another 20 days; a code created in the dashboard — 30 days (up to 3 codes without a tariff); or for the paid tariff term; or another 1 year for a one-time extension of a single QR code. Earlier than that if the QR code was created without an account, its stats page was never opened, and it was never scanned (typically within 7 days). Account data is kept while the account is active; you can request its deletion.
5. Sharing data with third parties
We only share data with services required for the feature to work: payment providers (including Monobank and/or bank acquiring), Google or Microsoft (only if you choose to sign in that way), Google Analytics (visit counting; IP is anonymized), and our hosting provider, where data is physically stored.
6. Your rights
You can request to view, correct, or delete your data by emailing business@qrcode.global or writing to the legal address. You can also delete your account at any time, or simply let a dynamic QR code be deleted automatically once its term ends.
7. Security
Passwords are stored as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text. The site connection is secured with HTTPS.
8. Children
The service is not intended for individuals under 16 years old.
9. Changes to this policy
The current edition of this policy is dated 20 September 2026. We may update it; each new edition has its own date on this page. For an account, a new edition takes effect only after a further direct agreement (tick) in the dashboard (together with the Terms of Use). Until then the dashboard and payment remain unavailable.
